Overview:
Based on Peter Maas's book about the true-life exploits of New York cop Frank Serpico. In the 70s, Serpico is an young undercover cop with an unusual trait--he refuses to be on the "take." His testimony in front of a grand jury investigating police corruption does not endear him to his co-workers. As the movie tagline said: "Many of his fellow officers consider him the most dangerous man alive--an honest cop."
Followed by a TV movie and a short-lived TV series.
